BWC Churches Ask the Court to Provide Relief

38 churches in the Baltimore-Washington Conference have had to make the tough decision to sue the Conference to permit them to leave without exorbitant fees.

While the Book of Discipline does not prohibit requirements from being added to Paragraph 2553, many churches find it impossible or unconscionable to pay 50% of the assessed value of their property.

WCA-BWC is not connected with the suit but supports these congregations whose families have sacrificed for generations for these sanctuaries.
